This symposium will address the ongoing discussions about halogen-free technology, as defined by the elimination of brominated flame retardants (BFRs), chlorinated flame retardants (CFRs) and PVC from electronic products (BFRs/CFRs/PVC below 900ppm), and the impact this will have on the electronics manufacturing supply chain, including material availability, cost and reliability.

The symposium will feature a broad range of perspectives on this next environmental initiative from leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), original design manufacturers (ODMs), electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers, substrate and PCB manufacturers, and materials suppliers.

Symposium goals

  • Share information about halogen-free (HF) technology
  • Provide a forum to discuss concerns about BFR / CFR / PVC free materials, and identify opportunities to address these concerns
  • Continue the process of industry alignment on common solutions to implement these materials
Who benefits
Presidents, CTOs and senior engineering management of PCB manufacturers, materials suppliers, EMS and ODM companies, and OEMs.

Agenda Highlights
