Meeting background

iNEMI is sponsoring this workshop to identify areas of potential collaborative R&D that will reduce risk and speed up synchronized technology adoption across the supply chain.  The workshop will:

• Feature speakers from OEMS, suppliers, regulatory and research institutions
• Identify challenges and gaps that benefit from a collaborative approach

• Evaluate opportunities that would benefit from industry collaboration
• Form action groups to define and execute the required industrial collaborative programs
• Define academic research needs to support these programs
• Create action plans and ownership to stimulate funding for necessary research

The intent of this meeting is to set the priorities and direction for future collaborative efforts on proactive programs.  Your participation will allow you to help set this agenda for the electronics industry.  This plays to the strengths of iNEMI and its approach to drive gap closure in the following areas:

• Component & Design reliability standards and standard test methods.
• RoHS-compliant components and manufacturing processes; synchronized supply chain capabilities and effective transitions to environmentally friendly materials.
• Connector and high density interconnects for medical imaging, implantable leads/wires and diagnostic equipment.
• Increased RF traffic in clinical environments leading to unknown issues.

iNEMI membership is not required to participate in this workshop.
