Extricity

"Enabling business processes between trading partners in the manufacturing marketplace is a critical success factor in achieving frictionless business," said Greg Olsen, chief technology officer at Extricity. "As a founding solution provider for RosettaNet and VFIIP, we are pleased to have participated in this groundbreaking effort."

Georgia Institute of Technology

"Georgia Tech is pleased to part of the NEMI VFIIP team and to be working with the industry leaders in defining and demonstrating B2B standards for electronics manufacturing. These standards should help lower costs and decrease cycle times for electronic products which will ultimately benefit the consumer," said Andrew Dugenske, Manufacturing Research Center manager at Georgia Tech. "The chance to influence the industry in such a positive way has been very motivating for us."

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

According to Barbara Goldstein, co-leader of NEMI’s Virtual Factory Project and strategic advisor at NIST, "NIST has been pleased to help broker the critical relationships between NEMI, an industry consortium representing the electronics industry; IPC, an ANSI-certified standards organization; and RosettaNet, which is developing widely adopted consensus specifications. The burden to industry of adopting supply chain standards has been greatly reduced through this collaboration."

Netfish Technologies, Inc.

"Use of XML-based B2B standards is definitely accelerating," said Elliott Josi, Strategic Programs, Netfish Technologies, Inc. "Two core drivers are fueling yield improvement in this business investment area. First, companies have gained a level of experience in deploying cross-enterprise best practices and enabling tools. Second, the RosettaNet PIP footprint has been extended to more trading partner interactions, speeding RosettaNet’s adoption in additional industry segments."

"The release of the EConcert Manufacturing Cluster is but one example of the latter. As a founding participant in RosettaNet and NEMI’s VFIIP, we commend the effective collaboration of RosettaNet, NEMI and IPC in aligning and leveraging efforts toward the common goal of enabling agile, cost-effective data exchange among supply chain partners. These enablers are driving higher margins with lower investments. And it is well known that manufacturing performance improvements in the IT, EC, and semiconductor industries is sure to yield a multiple of return to enterprise value."

PTC

"Tightly integrated collaboration solutions help our customers bring better products to market faster," said Jim Heppelmann, executive vice president and general manager, Windchill Solutions, PTC. "Open connectivity standards like RosettaNet are an important part of that collaboration, and Windchill, PTC’s market leading collaboration solution, continues to be designed and positioned to take full advantage of Web-based standards. This project was another opportunity to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to those standards."
