The cost model originally developed by the iNEMI Test Strategy Project has limitations on the number of package types and their defect levels, plus the model assumes 100% diagnostic yield.  In addition, it does not accurately represent results when multiple test strategies are used.

The goal of this project formation group is to launch an iNEMI project to develop a globalized test cost model that will be useful throughout the industry.

The group started its efforts in July and is currently seeking additional membership support.
